Code Title 40 Ch. 10 Art. 7 (county elected lien sale path after Act 2018-577). CaptureCAMA portal and Revenue office advertise 2025 delinquent tax lien sale date April 14, 2026 on govease.com — confirm registration, First Right Claims window, and 2027 cycle dates on autauga.capturecama.com and GovEase. Bidding is lowest interest rate starting at 12%. Prattville / I-65 corridor market (Montgomery MSA west).

Frequency

Annually between March 1 and June 15 (2026 sale advertised April 14 for 2025 delinquencies)

Deposit rules

Pre-register on GovEase before the sale; create bidder profile and add the Autauga auction. Confirm First Right Claim process for subsequent-year liens with the Revenue Office.

Title risk

Liens that survive the sale
At the certificate stage the buyer holds a lien, not clear title — owner redemption extinguishes the certificate. Other encumbrances remain; tax liens take priority but do not extinguish covenants or easements. After a tax deed issues following foreclosure, most private liens are cut off, but federal tax liens (IRS 120-day post-sale redemption) and some governmental assessments can survive.
Quiet title
Practically recommended after a tax deed issues. Title companies often require a quiet title action (or the equivalent judicial confirmation path under Ala. Code Title 40) before insuring for resale.
